Contractor Foreman did everything we were hoping it would all in one product. We would have had to get multiple products to get everything we wanted if we had chosen an alternative.

Contractor Foreman has various positive features that retain my continued use for the software, such as ability to allow photo uploads within daily logs, mobile app use for all users, and reminder capabilities for critical job tasks.

Nachteile

Least likeable feature is when attempting to synchronize contractors foreman into our QuickBooks Software. There are duplicate entries or certain things do not transfer correctly. As a result, we had to terminate the synchronization between the two. Looking for an effective method to prevent errors from happening.

An easier program to learn than some of the other software programs we have used at a reasonable price.

Would have liked a tutorial overview of how to properly set up the system. Step by step so everything is set up and then start with estimate creation, and so forth.

I like being able too easily find documents that I've attached to different projects. I can name each file whatever I want, and make changes as needed. I like being able to be at a project and easily look at the attachments on my phone.

It seems a bit clunky in places. For example, if I select a project, I have to wait for it to come up and then it lands in a place where I have to select again (it lands on "summary," when I usually always want "financial"). Perhaps there's a function I haven't found yet where I can customize that area, but I haven't discovered it.

I love that you can start with a sales lead and guide it all the way through project completion. The features were well thought out and consider different ways of doing business. Sending quotes and proposals is fantastic as we are able to send it with as great, or little, detail as we desire. Originally I was looking for an estimating program, but this has exceeded my expectations so far.

It can be a bit buggy and slow at times. Thankfully it's infrequent and live support chat is available as well as bug reporting.

Our favorite feature is how adaptable it is. Each module can be adjusted to how your company does business. We started using CF only for time tracking and ended up transitioning our entire company to CF. The transition was extremely easy because CF adapts to how you have been doing things and not obligating your to drastic changes. Trainings are easy to schedule, weather it be in group settings for basic trainings or one on one sessions. customer service is easy to contact and tech will respond very quickly.

We recently started to integrate other applications and it is define still a work in progress. But the speed in witch they have solutions to the issues is quite fast.

Absolutely the best app for beginner contractors like myself. So easy to use and they offer training if you get stumped. Love it.

The cost is a bit high but they offer a30 day free trial which helps greatly.

We don't like that our team cant clock in or use the app when the internet connection is low. I would say our biggest problems have come down to the app.

Love this software. I love that everything I need is in one place and that I can send lump sum invoices. I have tried other software and have even tried the old pen and paper but always came back to contractor foreman. The customer service is also great. I have never had an issue that wasn't resolved quickly. They also have a lot of training videos and online webinairs so implementing the software is relatively painless. We use this software on a daily basis and have integrated it easily into our company.

I don't dislike much. I think they can add a few features like being able to send a receipt to customers rather than just resending the invoice with a balance of $0. It would also be nice to be able to send emails through contractor foreman where the from address is the company address and not a generic @contractorforeman email.

Contractor Foreman has great customer service and quality training videos. This construction management software is vast and is able to do more than we need.

Contractor Foreman helps us to accurately plan and budget our projects. Saved templates help save time in generating bids. The detailed and/or lump sum estimates help communicate the realities of the project with customers. Gantt charts help crews and homeowners visualize schedule and calendar realities.

Nachteile

The program is so large and has so many functions, there is a bit of a learning curve on how to best use the product for the needs of our business. Learning the program is the user's responsibility.

I have been completely blown away by the customer service the team has provided me. The initial salesman very patiently answered my questions and gave me the confidence that this program will do exactly what I need it to do. And he was right! The customer care I have received since we started our trial has been nothing short of amazing. The Live Chat feature is convenient if I have a simple question and the private trainings allow me to save up a list and review all at one time. I appreciate the reps offering suggestions of best practices and how I can make the system work for me. They're also open to feedback and want to continue improving their product.

I've always done things the old-fashioned way and was pretty resistant to change. I should have listened sooner. I have way more spare time and my workload has actually increased. Love the ease of using it. I thought I'd have to study for weeks to figure it out. I was up and running using a lot of features the first day.

What I like best about Contractor Foreman is that it is affordable, easy to use but at the same time quite powerful. It is also easy to set up and all the key features are available to manage a project from start to finish. Also the customer support is fast and efficient.

It's nice that we can track an incoming lead through the estimation process and into job costing and through final billing all in one place. In the past we've had to enter our information in two different locations due to user access so it's nice to be able to enter information in one place and have everyone be able to see and use the information that they need.

It's been taking a while to get everything up and running because we need to enter all of our information in, but when we are transferring over most of our company information, it makes sense that it will take a while.

We were so happy to find CF after using SalesForce, then Buildertrend; CF has solved so many problems for us, and the icing on the cake is the price. They have all the features and functionality that serve our business needs. It was a no-brainer to switch over, and we're happy we did.

The setup process can be quite time-consuming, requiring a significant amount of trial and error to ensure everything is properly configured. Unfortunately, there is a lack of comprehensive support or established best practices for integrating the various modules. Moreover, the available support options from CF are limited and often slow in their response. While they offer weekly training sessions (basic & advanced), a limited number of one on one training sessions, chat & email. Consequently, it seems that users are primarily left to their own devices when it comes to setting up the system effectively. On a positive note, the integration with QuickBooks Online is remarkable. However, the third-party setup company, Smart Business Solutions, could benefit from more extensive experience in their field. Their approach mainly revolves around trial and error rather than demonstrating expertise in tackling the specific challenges users encounter. Support primarily relies on email communication without the option for screen sharing, and the weekly training calls tend to focus on generic topics rather than delving into individual issues. While there are excellent instructional videos available, they may not address the specific intricacies of your business practices.
