The ease of use and the collaboration functionality. Its cool how multiple projects can be handled simultaneously and how teams can be accountable on tasks without having to mark their status or e-mail separately.

The part where huge projects can get a little difficult to manage particularly when privacy is used.

Asana allows me to track my own tasks as well as tasks that ladder up into larger projects and campaigns. Asana provides transparency and accountability into managing work across teams and organizations, and generally seems to be customizable and adaptable to an organization's needs.

Nachteile

Like a lot of software, if you don't set it up in a way that the software can be maximized, you're going to miss out on the value. For example, if different teams in your organization set up their own Asana accounts independently and under different formats, you're going to lose the value of being able to track work across teams and functions - find a way to set it up together even if some work doesn't always need to be visible.

Asana is the best project management software out there. I love that it focuses on perfecting functionality for a cohesive user experience. Task management across teams and projects make day to day work more manageable.

Sometimes there are limitations in functionality since Asana focuses on fewer features but perfects them rather than other products like ClickUp that have many features but are not perfect.

Team adoption is a real challenge with Asana and really solid onboarding is required to get the most out of the product.

I signed up for the premium account. TWICE, they changed my account to have more seats than what I purchased. The first time, they told me they would make up for it by giving me several months free. We changed my account back to the two-seat minimum, and I thought things would be fine. But then they changed my account back to five seats without any notice and overcharged me again.

Instead of paying around $22, I was charged $74.

Again, they refused to refund any money even though they are the ones who changed my account.

Since then, I have found out that this is a common practice. I actually got lucky in that I was only charged for three extra seats instead of five or 15!

What do I not like about Asana is the real question. It is the reason that I love project management.

I wish the templates were free but it is so affordable, I do not mind paying for it.

Asana makes it so easy for me to manage multiple projects with different teams and varying deadlines. I can keep on track and have full visibility of all my tasks. The mobile app is a clean format and makes updating projects on the go super easy. I also really like the integration with Google Drive which allows me to share files with ease.

Nachteile

It took me a little while to figure out how to get the most out of Asana, and the UX is a bit cluttered, so it can sometimes be confusing as to whether I’m looking at my personal tasks or a Project task.

Love the ease of creating and assigning tasks for various projects. My team and I can easily track our work, collaborate, update notes, change status, and more.

I would like to see a bit more flexibility in changing color layout on the free version.

My assistant had a preference for Asana and based on her comfort level and experience with the product, I was willing to give it a try.

I love the ability to use this platform for both internal projects and client facing updates, I work on several teams where we can easily move the project to the next person once it goes through each phase until final approvals are complete. It streamlines the workflow and allows for us to share necessary information to complete each tasks.

Nachteile

I think it can be easily used improperly which can lead to missed deadlines/communications I think it could have some better resources for agencies.

Initially, Asana is slightly complex to understand and can take a while, even with the free version. But once you do, it helps streamline projects and manage tasks easily.

It is so effortless to use. Instead of software trying to justify its cost by making things more complicated than it needs to be, asana just allows you to tailor exactly the internal sheets you need so you can collaborate easily with a widespread team.

The only downside with Asana is just its level of integration with other software that we use on a daily basis. We knew that Asana didn't integrate with the software we wanted it too but decided that it was still worth implementing within our business.

It just looked like it had the ability to give us templates that were able to be tailored best to our needs as a business. Some of the alternatives were either too fixed once a template was made or the opposite and you had to spend too much time building them up from scratch which almost defeated the purpose.

We have reduced our workload by 80% thanks to the computerized approval process. Eliminating repetitive but necessary tasks has increased productivity. Many of our projects are well organized and accessible through the mobile app and to anyone with viewing permissions thanks to the ability to link files and add notes at the row level. With the mobile app, I no longer have to juggle multiple platforms to view my spreadsheets; I can do it whenever I want.

For beginners, Asana can sometimes feel too complex and feature-heavy. In the beginning, my team found themselves not utilizing all the advanced features, making it seem like overkill for basic task management until i gave them a load down on how it works.

Clarity and ease of adding tasks, the app works super well on the go too for this, adding in particular features specific to projects, easy scheduling and assigning of tasks, view settings, the kamban boards, gantt views and goal setting and linking capabilities. It's really intuitive and we love it.

The work flow setting up is tricky to master if you're not already good at that sort of thing and it would be great to be able to download the gantt charts and calendars to share with people not required on our Asana platform but otherwise it's really well supported, the education is excellent and we love it.

I was worried that my needs would be too complicated for Asana (think primary goal, tasks, and sub tasks all for the same project), but it proved me wrong. I was so happy to find that subtasks can easily be added with due dates and can easily be shared with colleagues who are also working on the project with you.

This allows for quick project set-up, but can still be customized. I also like that I can switch between Kanban, list, and calendar view. It helpful to view projects from different angles at different points of its life cycle.

Archiving projects isn't intuitive. Which can make looking up legacy clients, historical data and simple clean up difficult as you use this program over multiple years. Which you will likely do.

Ease of use and set up. Most features were free but I was able to make use of the upgrade during the last stretch of the project I was planning. Mobile version works very well.

It's not a like least but I don't need all the functionality. I used many tools in the past that tried to do everything and over time became weak so hopefully Asana will keep up with all it's trying to succeed on.
