I've been a user of Kanban Tool for many years now. It was initially selected to support a high school competitive robotics team, but it quickly became my recommendation for my personal and corporate Kanban needs. The standout capability that I like over competing tools (such as MS Planner) is the convenience of taking a tasking email sent to me and forwarding it to a specific board with optional identifiers for swimlane, column, card type, assigned user, priority, and due date. This ensures that no task sent by email ever gets lost and is positioned to be processed immediately. It also allows me to use Siri to create tickets throughout my day.

Nachteile

There's nothing that I would change about the Kanban Tool.

Kanban Tool is very easy to use and has a bunch of useful functionalities. Swimlanes are awsome and easy to implement.
You can also capture your tasks by email and customize your boards.
Calendar tool is integrated and very helpful.
So far very happy with this productivity tool.

Customer service is very efficient and they contact you quickly when you need some technical assistance.

Nachteile

Lack of granularity and inter-connectivity between different kanban boards and difficult to follow up different related projects.
Trello has nested boards or parent cards for example, which are very useful.
Very few add-ins and integrations with other tools.
Also the Mobile App for both Android and iOS is not very useful and no desktop App available.

I like that I can see the tasks easier, ,and my team members can move them as we all complete our individual tasks. Its so much easier to see the progress my team is making and know if we are head or behind on things.

Nachteile

I wish there was a way to make the tasks full screen when you click on them, so that I can see everything a little better. The pop up is nice, its just not as wide as I would like.

Kanban seemed so much more user friendly and easier to see everything. I prefer Kanbans layout and all the many plugins they provide for the cost!

Ease of use and ease of transfer from task managment apps, very nice customization features, you can make it look the way you can really overview all the tasks for work. I really like the power-ups, add-ons that make it easier to work on and keep track of tasks.

Nachteile

You can't choose which swimlane or column is the 'Completed' section of the table. This way, I get some negative due dates on tasks, even though I put it to the Completed swimlane, but since I can't make that section the finished tasks section, I have to manually delete the due date.

The tool is very easy to use and understand. Also, one of the best advantages of the different boards is that are very visual so for managers it's quick and simple to understand how's the exact situation and make conclusions from it.

Nachteile

The necessity to add every different user manually to the board to be able to asign specific tasks slows you down a bit.

I like that the interface is clean and fluid. The core features as compared with a much larger tool like Jira is there and functions equally well and, in some cases, better. The product is light, able to maintain a single interface without too many page changes taking you out of the element. It has potential for growth, but it doesn't try to replicate Jira which is a plus.

Nachteile

There isn't something that I don't like per se, just perhaps unable to test since I am on the free tier. The fact that they have a free tier is a plus. Some of the desired features lacking in free tier feel like they should be included. The function of some powerups are hard to understand as they are not explained. When you do activate them, it is not readily clear how they should work, better onboarding would be welcome. The right column where the calendar, recurring and postponed tasks are located are fixed in size and not fluid, so if you have more in one and less in others, you have a ton of wasted space.

I like the best balance of feature and simplicity with the lightweight approach that fit my personal needs.

It does everything I need from a Kanban Board out of the box, does so intuitively, and does not get bogged down in optimizations/extra features. However, if you want them, they're easy to implement.

Nachteile

It feels more like it was designed and documented by engineers rather than sales staff, and its no-frills design is a big selling point for me, but others may disagree. It's "simple out of the box, opt-in to additional features" also means a little more upfront configuration, but I still think it's good design. A few minor nice-to-have features (colored tags, saving multiple filtered views) might be missing or paywalled, but I haven't explored all the possibilities in their documentation yet.

Free out of the box use of swimlanes, expand/collapse swimlanes and columns, easy filters, splitting columns into sub-columns, expanding width of columns to be more than 1-card wide, etc. A lot of the clever visualization ideas I've seen in books like "Making Work Visible" and "Personal Kanban" are possible here that would be impossible or a nightmare to configure in other products I've tried.

Having completed the Agile Foundation Course a few years ago, the Kanban Tool was a real find. It is quick, effective and good use of both our time. We have a quick 'stand-up' every day to look at the board and what each of us have added. We love the fact it is easy to move tasks around, add check lists, due dates and new boards and assign tasks to each other.

It may just be a feature I haven't discovered, but I would like to make the actual board wider across the page.

I would love to be able sort by my chosen criteria and have it always sort by that but they chose to go with the traditional way a Kanban board works. I can respect that. I can still sort them by my preferred criteria so I don't mind
