Great tool in general - room to improve .. to make it more user friendly and intuitive
Ich arbeite jetzt schon seit über 6 Jahre mit der Software. Es hat sich einiges getan und es ist generell ein gutes Tool. Allerdings für Manager, die nicht täglich damit arbeiten, ist es oft nicht super Customer Friendly. Es ist nicht wirklich intuitiv gestaltet.
Self scheduling etc. ist super hilfreich im daily business.
Vorteile
Das Arbeiten mit dem Dashboard macht das Review von Kandidaten einfacher. Hier hat man alle Details, Application Questions und CV in einem Fenster.
Man kann die Bewerbungsprozess gut customizen.
Nachteile
Das neue Interface hat seine Vor-und Nachteile.
ABER - was könnte geändert werden:
Es ist für viele Hiring Manager schwer, die wichtigen Details auf den ersten Blick zu finden. Application Questions muss man immer separat anklicken, damit sie komplett angezeigt werden. Hier sind wichtige Infos enthalten, wie Wohnort, Salary Expectations und Visa etc.
Zusätzlich steht jetzt nicht mehr im Profil Überblick direkt "Resume" zum anklicken - hat sich wieder durch ein Icon ersetzt.
Beim Offer Making wäre es super, wenn man nicht nur ein Dokument anklicken kann, um es an Kandidaten rauszuschicken. Wenn ein Dokument in einem anderen Ordner auf dem PC abgelegt ist, ist es nicht möglich meherer Anhänge zu machen. Es muss immer alles in einem Ordner hinterlegt sein, um mehrere Dokumente anzuklicken und anzuhängen. Zusätzlich wäre es besser, wenn man auch eine Schnittstelle zu Google Workspace hätte und nicht nur Microsoft.
Die Anbindung an Karrierewebsiten ist sehr schwer. Zusätzlich ist das Layout der Greenhouse Job Seite selber nicht schön. Hierzu braucht man immer ein Development Team, um etwas zu ändern. Hier wäre es schöner, wenn es gewisse Layout Bausteine gäbe, die das Recruiting /HR Team selbst nutzen kann, um die Seite mehr an das Branding der Firma anzulehnen.

By far the best ATS I've used in my career so far
Amazing experience with Greenhouse - this is by far the best ATS I've used in my career so far.
Vorteile
I particularly like the fact that Greenhouse is user friendly. It's easy to use and besides being easy to use, it's really helping me in my day to day life as recruiter because everything is centralized here. Note make it very easy to collaborate with people!
Nachteile
The way we pull reports could maybe be optimized - it takes too long to create reports and that's the only thing I could reproach here.

Overall a good ATS, still some minor room for improvement
Overall it is good. It has taken a while to get to used to the new UI though
Vorteile
I like the workflows that are built in. It is easy to see scorecards in a way that makes hiring decisions easy.
Nachteile
I don't like that I can't see when a candidate responds to an email or that I can't "reply" to an email. There lacks an ability of a single email thread with a candidate.
I would also like to know if a candidate "accepts" calendar invites.

Major Buyers Remorse with Greenhouse - Terrible Product for Busy Recruiters
We were lied to during our demo and told that Greenhouse could do things it could not. We have MAJOR buyers remorse. We thought we were getting a product that would save us time but instead, we got a product that has made our jobs more difficult.
Vorteile
It's hard for me to list any pros. Greenhouse may be one of the worst ATS products I've ever used. We believed the hype and signed a 2 year deal but we have major buyers remorse. If forced to say something nice about them in this section, I guess the basic features like knockout questions or email templates are on par with other products.
Nachteile
I could write a book on this, but I’ll keep it brief.
1. Greenhouse Fails at Remote Job Posting
If you're a remote healthcare company, you need to post statewide jobs since licenses are issued at the state level. Greenhouse doesn’t allow this. Instead, it forces you to select a random city, which gets sent to Indeed and limits visibility to that specific area. Other ATSs accommodate statewide remote postings—Greenhouse does not.
2. Scheduling Is a Mess
Self-scheduling lacks rules—candidates can book every available slot with no buffers.
The "request availability" feature is useless. Need a 60-minute interview? Greenhouse lets candidates submit 30 minutes of availability.
Managing availability for multiple candidates is a nightmare. Other ATSs let you offer a set number of slots to multiple candidates, automatically removing filled slots. Greenhouse doesn’t.
3. Candidate Management Is Worst-Case Scenario
Resumes and application questions are buried behind extra clicks.
No easy way to track who has been invited to an interview vs. who has scheduled.
No master pipeline view—each job post is siloed. If you post the same role in multiple states, you have to manage separate pipelines for each one. I’m hiring NPs in 19 states, which means 19 separate pipelines. We’ve resorted to Google Sheets just to stay organized because Greenhouse lacks core recruiter-friendly features.
4. Implementation is a solo gig
There is no specialist assigned to your account. Want help with something? Cool, you can go to open office hours with 10 other people and wait 50 minutes to ask a question. Sure, they have a chat feature but you can't trust what they say and the people running the chat seem very uninterested in helping you.
5. Got feedback? Shout it into the void.
You want to see something change? You have a problem with something on the platform not working for you? You were lied to about features that don't exist. Greenhouse doesn't care. They are too big respond to us peons.
I could go on, but I’m too busy struggling with Greenhouse to write more.

Not so great. The legacy view is better, and other ATS' allow more automated work
It's ok. I would like to see the legacy view returned, and to be able to automate things that I can do on other platforms.
Vorteile
I like the legacy view, which is clean, and simple to use. I rated it a 5 because Greenhouse is forcing the new view which is not user friendly and everyone is struggling with it.
Nachteile
I have used many ATS' and Greenhouse is not one of my favorites. The questions and answers that you can pre-populate are shown in block formation which can be difficult for someone like me, with ADD to read. I've also used platforms that allow me to create an email campaign that will automatically email candidates on the days that I choose, and Greenhouse doesn't offer that

Any organization that values streamlining their hiring process need not look elsewhere!...
Overall, I'd rank Greenhouse as the best ATS I've used throughout my 20 year career in TA. The features, reporting, end-to-end candidate tracking, and ability to collaborate with your hiring managers make Greenhouse standout above all others for me!
Vorteile
There is a lot to like about Greenhouse, but the most impactful aspect in my opinion is the reporting. I've used several ATS systems throughout my career and Greenhouse is far and away the best with respect to the data and analytics available. Whether you're in Talent Acquisition, HR or a Hiring Manager, the source data and ability to build custom reports allows you to formulate actionable insights and trends throughout your recruiting and hiring funnel.
Nachteile
The time to acclimate new users. The learning curve in order to train new employees is long as a result of the various customizations and robust information available.

Easy to use ATS
I've been using Greenhouse for years in various jobs and it is always my favorite ATS to use.
Vorteile
Greenhouse is user friendly and easy for hiring managers and recruiters to use. I love the automated reminders for feedback and others tasks and the automatic posting on job boards.
Nachteile
I wish we could post to more job boards more easily and also that the remote or hybrid options and salary transparency rules could be a bit more customizable.

Couldn't recommend Greenhouse more!
I have used Greenhouse for five years now. At my most recent job, we invested in Greenhouse and I took part in implementation. It's easy to make a case for something when it's that good.

I like how user friendly the interface is and how responsive support is.

My Greenhouse experience
My overall experience with Greenhouse has been great, very minimal issues with it and am happy to use this.
Vorteile
What I like most about Greenhouse is the user interface. It's very easy to navigate making it user friendly to all who use it.
Nachteile
Regarding what I like least about Greenhouse is how sometimes information may not be displayed and while it's a very small technical error, Greenhouse still remains to be preferred for us.

Greenhouse keeps me organized
I took on a new role for a growing company and needed a solution to assist with the many tasks of my new role. Greenhouse has been a huge time saver and helps me keep everything organized.
Vorteile
I find Greenhouse extremely user friendly and their customer service is great. I also find the task reminders very helpful.
Nachteile
I have been very pleased with Greenhouse but I feel there could be some automation or development added to the email function as I cannot see all the activity like accepting calendar invites.

Greenhouse Review
Overall, I've been using the platform for a few years and I appreciate how convenient it is. It's also easy to teach those who are unfamiliar. I initially struggled with the new profile set up but have come to really like it. I'd recommend Greenhouse overall.

Nachteile
I wish there was a way to send interview invites directly from Greenhouse, especially onsite interviews. It would b e nice if it was more seamlessly integrated with Zoom so that it could generate zoom links and be shared that way. It would also be nice if there was a way to create multiple interview pipelines and interviews for one job for cases where there might be more than one hiring manager and team EG: multiple headcount

Recruiting Operations Manager
Overall very good. And more recently I feel they have listened to the customer and made some good product updates such as Talent Rediscovery.
Vorteile
Great support and chat bot when you need to update something from the admin side. To be honest the person on the team that was more our Greenhouse expert has left and I am now in the tool alot more and overall I find it not as difficult as I expected.
Nachteile
Its not super intuitive at times in regards to the configure settings. Its not a problem though because the chat bot and support has always been extremely helpful.

A Solid ATS
Overall it gets the job done and is more comprehensive and reliable than previous ATS's that I have used in the past.
Vorteile
Very rarely any outages, maybe once in the last 3 years that I've been using it. I like being able to email candidates, schedule interviews, post jobs, etc. all from one main source of truth.
Nachteile
It can be disjointed and not very logical at times. For example, the new notes section that highlights if there is a duplicate profile or general warning note about a candidate is hidden in a tab on the bottom right now, vs. automatically showing it when you open a candidate's profile.

Comprehensive ATS
Vorteile
Greenhouse was a comprehensive ATS that had everything we needed from job postings and job boards, tracking applicants through the hiring process, scheduling interviews, gathering feedback and sending offers. Greenhouse also had a lot of integrations with other tools (like BambooHR).
Nachteile
Greenhouse is on the pricier side compared to other ATS's. Would only consider if there was high recruiting volume. At the time I used Greenhouse their HRIS integration (we used BambooHR) wasn't super helpful - it only transferred a few things like the candidate's name, but we still had to input a lot manually. Not sure if this has changed by now.

Easy to use applicant tracker
Quite simple! You can give different employees different permissions so they can access their roles and their tasks in the application/interview process.
Vorteile
Easy to navigate, simple to track pipeline, able to add comments and tag coworkers in review. You can easily see all the interview notes from previous interviews and what steps are coming up. Scheduling seems pretty straightforward, although I haven't used that feature.
Nachteile
Sometimes accessing interview notes isn't super intuitive, but I'm not in the app every day so I'm sure I would get used to it. No substantial feedback!

Great Platform for Internal Job Postings and Application Tracking
Vorteile
Greenhouse makes it super easy to track applications and provide feedback when interviewing job candidates. The format for having the job posting in a tab next to the resume and cover letter of the candidate along with a comprehensive scorecard makes interviews consistent and organized.
Nachteile
The internal job posting board our company uses could be organized a little better with more information provided or roles hyperlinked but this is not a dealbreaker for using Greenhouse.

Despite that, Greenhouse still allows for easy management and organization of the recruitment process. It helps companies with their hiring and job postings.

What I like most about Greenhouse is that it offers integration with other tools such as the applicant tracking system and background verification tool, which helps make the recruitment process more seamless and efficient.
Nachteile

Feature rich ATS with loads of integration options
Vorteile
I think one of the better ATSs in the market for agencies and recruitment teams, tried several. Greenhouse has one of the most mature tech stack in terms of available integrations. Integrates with sourcing tools like Calendly, HackerRank, HeroHunt.ai and DocuSign.
Nachteile
What can be improved is the the automation features, it's quite hard to get an automated outreach flow going for instance.

Great hiring team experience - recruiter friendly as well.
Very positive. We enjoy the product and the candidate experience seems to be un-notable, which is WAY better than hearing about it being a pain.
Vorteile
Greenhouse is pretty user friendly. Excellent and easy hiring team experience. Recruiter experience is relatively seemless. Changes can be very abrupt but UI is still easy, just takes some getting used to.
Nachteile
Changes and personalization's are not always intuitive. Sometimes you really need to hunt and the template process is TIME CONSUMING. Finding the things you need to change can be difficult if you did not set everything up and are not a super user.

Great for basics and most companies. If complex, need to scale beyond Greenhouse.
Overall good for getting things set up. If building out end-to-end process, most of the config for me has been done off platform.

Very limited in the on-platform customization. No conditional logic on forms or fields (only department/location). Creates a reliance on third-party platform to solve processes that involve more than a linear progression.
API docs are outdated and unreliable.
Some functionality is limited and relies on a fixed flow (the take-home test/form should extend beyond the scope it's in)
Sandbox account should be much more friendly to acquire. Testing in production is disruptive, but must upgrade to highest pricing tier to get a sandbox (most other HR SaaS tools we work with seem to have alternatives)

Greenhouse can/should do work on simplifying reporting, not everyone can easily become an expert in reporting, requires training and time, which should not be the case.

Best in Class ATS
From a Recruiter standpoint, Greenhouse has everything I need and made my job easy. I love how easy it is to schedule I love how easy it is to move candidates through the interview stages. How easy it is to send disposition emails and that they come from a do not reply email. It's easy to fill out and view feedback and interactions with the candidate.
Vorteile
Scheduling Tool. Easy of adding, editing and reviewing feedback. Ease of posting jobs, reviewing old requisitions. Ease of adding screening questions and knockout questions.
Nachteile
Lots of screens to click through. Can be a bit confusing where to find what you need, especially when opening a job. Reporting is complicated.

An ATS with good capabilities
It offers solutions for most recruitment activities, and detailed reports. Although it sometimes has deficiencies in terms of aesthetics, for the company's needs it is more than ok. In order for this to work correctly, the Recruitment team needs constant training.

Nachteile
The most disappointing thing was their way of negotiating contracts. After a 2-year contract, instead of building our loyalty, they bombarded us with an astronomical price offer. In the end, we managed to reach a conclusion, but the people we were in contact with seemed to have no interest in keeping us at the beginning.

Great ATS for scaling and large companies.
Overall it's been great. One of the better ATS's out there and definitely worth the investment. Great integrations and generally really easy to use. There are some opportunities, but I see them working on these constantly.

Greenhouse makes recruitment easier
Overall greenhouse has been really useful to centralize our company's recruitment process and share relevant info with no-HR employees.
Also, helps to better organize the work of recruiters and to be aware of the processes that require more attention.

Greenhouse still is the best ATS on the market
Vorteile
Love how easy it is to set up, as well as mange and direct multiple recruiting processes at once.
Nachteile
The integration with Outlook is rough. We've recently switched to Google, which has been much easier. We had challenges with the Checkr integration as well, because we were ordering complex background checks. Ideally those features could be improved in the future.

User friendly ATS!
My overall experience with GH has been a positive one. I do wish the reporting was better. An easy way to pull a recruiter specific report where I can see how many interviews my team has done in a week, for example, would be great.

The new changes and the reporting. My team really loves the legacy view and has not wanted to switch to the new version. Use Greenhouse and let your seedlings grow!
My experience with Greenhouse has been mostly positive, moving up the ladder and going from interviewee to interviewer. I'm absolutely certain that the friendly user interface outweighs some of the chunkiness.
Vorteile
Any person who worked a few years for sure have already come across a hiring platform, chasing a better opportunity. Greenhouse is better used from the point of view of the interviewer, rather than the interviewee. But Greenhouse is good for a number of reasons. For instance, it is very user friendly, it is easy to navigate and works like a small library of new possibilities for your team. It is also highly customisable and allows the user to set up their own recruiting stages for each job.
Nachteile
There are multiple ways of accessing the same information and that can feel repetitive and, sometimes, even a little excessive.

Close System. Good Enough When You Do Not Need Much Customizations.

The overall UI of the greenhouse is user friendly and navigation is very clear. It does serve mostly all hiring requirements.
Nachteile
Greenhouse doesn't provide any customization be it reports, custom fields, granular permissions or anything. It's mostly the closed system unless you decide to pay additionally for anything.

Great customisable ATS
I've been on the field for many years, and GH is still the best option for our needs. We tried different ATSs, but none were as adaptable as GH.

Enjoy seamless access to candidate funnel information, clear and organized scorecards, easy-to-use referral links with progress tracking, and smooth integration with your HRIS (like HiBob, in our case).

Automation Features: Expand automation options for repetitive tasks, such as interview scheduling and follow-up communications, to save time and boost efficiency. The feature exist for long time but I feel it can be even better introducing maybe some AI components.

Onboarding Platform
Pleasant experience with Greenhouse. We used this as an onboarding platform to track new and ongoing open job opportunities and manage our referees and interview steps. We use this as well to manage onboarding documents.
Vorteile
1. Helps to easily track and manage referrals. The interview process becomes transparent to track the flow.
2. Very attractive UI and user-friendly working dashboard.
3. Chat feature is one of the best things for immediate support and access.
