What we wanted vs what we got is not the same, that is on a pro license. Now we are told to buy add ons.
Also the agent "sent" a payment link for a monthly subscription, but when you follow prompts on the actual site to buy a license, that is not an option so you are basically forced into a year contract.

Our team uses for Sales but also for email contact with clients/students to inform them about changes and offers. It have great contact segmentation for sending right email to right customers at right time.

Price increase puts it in the competition with Hubspot and other great alternatives so you need to use all options to prove cost. Dashboard could be more versitile to fit specific needs.

Creating campaigns, automations, email design, all super easy. Contacts management and list creation is also pretty straightforward and works great. High deliverability and good reporting. I like that I can track a contact's engagement history from visits to my site, to what emails were opened, links clicked. And tagging works great.

While they have a CRM option. It's not up to par. I use Pipedrive which is way more than I need, but Activecampaign's poor implementation of CRM is what drop its score big time. Plus it is expensive for what else is in the market. I keep paying because it's too much effort to move to save $20-$50 a month... but if I was looking to come in fresh, I would see what else exists.

Email campaigns are easy to set up, as well as the automations.

It's sometimes very laggy, especially the email builder and the automations. I'm based in Spain and it sometimes felt like I was back in the 90's due to the slow responses from their server.

An extra advantage we have seen by using ActiveCampaign to run our marketing campaigns is that most of the repetitive work like replies are automated so we don't spend alot of our time on that. Also, with ActiveCampaign we get an upper hard at our marketing strategies as it allows us to deliver more personalized and audience targeted marketing content. By bringing all the marketing activities under one dashboard, it is easy to monitor the performance of our marketing activities.

Beyond any doubt, ActiveCampaign has been a very resources and responsive solution to our marketing needs and we cannot give any complaints about it.

I know that ActiveCampaign has a lot of features which when utilized could really deliver a great email campaign, email management, CRM and much more. When I hired somebody to do a campaign for me I was able to see the value in the tool.

As a business owner you shouldn't be doing everything yourself and I don't want to or intend to. Learning the tool yourself is a good place to start and then passing it on to a team member or having an expert in the area take over. I found ActiveCampaign very challenging and time consuming to set up to use myself and eventually did hire an expert to set up the campaigns I needed as my time is more valuable.

It is worth it though and very easily integrated into my business workflow. I like how user-friendly the email builder is. It's drag-and-drop, which makes creating visually appealing emails a breeze. I can customize the design to match my brand without needing to be a design expert. automation capabilities are a game-changer. I can set up email sequences and workflows to nurture leads, send targeted follow-ups to leads and can segment my audience based on their behaviours. The detailed reporting and analytics provide valuable insights into the performance of my email campaigns. I can see open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and more, which helps me make data-driven decisions to improve my marketing strategy.

Nachteile

At first there is a steep learning curve but I feel that it is worth it in the end. Once you are comfortable with the software there is so much you can do.

I liked the ease of the connection between my E-Commerce software and their software for abandoned cart marketing.

Ease of use. In comparison to 'the other guys' - training a client on this software was next to impossible. We implemented on behalf of clients, and when they wanted to use it themselves, we moved to another company. It isn't as user friendly as cheaper competitors.

Its ability to automate processes in marketing funnels makes it a truly precious and indispensable ally. I use it a lot for my soap opera sequences.

Initially I had difficulty understanding some functions and tags but the staff was really helpful in giving me assistance and valid information material that made me understand everything.

It's hard to troubleshoot/debug automations, there are not any logs available. Also, it requires a consultant/firm to set up the marketing automations correctly. Despite having a significant technical background, it's not something in my wheelhouse.

I don't have the budget for HubSpot or similar programs, so Active Campaign it is! It's fine. It will do the basic functions an email marketer needs. You can do first-party tracking. You can do A/B testing. In an imperfect world, it will do.

Their customer service members are wildly incompetent. They have a free live chat, but it's useless because they will always say your problem is too hard and they need to move it over to email. Whether you ever hear from them again is anyone's guess. You might. You might not. They also have a Facebook community where you can ask questions, but they have to approve every post. That means you'll never hear complaint from other users... because they're not allowed to complain. TL;DR If you have a small budget, this might be the best you can do. But you better hope you can get real answers from Google.

For me ActiveCampaign is essential for marketing. We collect leads, segment them with tags in AC and run automations and different funnels for the leads.

With AC, we are able to do the right tagging, update the contacts with the activity protocol and live-update our Facebook Custom Audiences based on the behaviour of the users.

The pricing might go high with a high amount of leads, but you can change between Active and Passive leads, so this can be handled easily.

ActiveCampaign is great in lots of different ways. The email automation feature is great and emails look amazing when you send them. The targets feature is also good!

The main downside I have is that it is very complicated to set up mand maintain. I have spent a decade with email marketing and marketing in general and what takes me less than a few minutes to set up in other systems takes hours in AC. It is unnecessarily hard for new users but once you learn its a great platform!

ActiveCampaign è IL CRM per la gestione dell'email automation. Si può praticamente fare qualsiasi cosa con le automazioni, è veramente veramente comodo. Ovviamente bisogna saper utilizzare le varie funzionalità, ma qualunque automazione hai in testa, con AC è possibile!

Molti bug, anche se per fortuna ultimamente la maggior parte di questi sono stati risolti. Alcune funzionalità utili sono limitate nella versione Lite (come ad esempi la funzione condizionale), nonostante sia abbastanza impegnativo già economicamente.

Deliverability is greatly aided by the comprehensiveness of the reports and the read/trend reports. When I have questions, the support staff is always quick to answer them.
