Skimmer is tailored so well to the pool industry and has helped us manage our cleaning technicians so much more efficiently. I can see a quick snapshot where everyone is at in their day and know exactly what is going on at each pool in a second.

Nachteile

Their scheduling for repair technicians isn't great yet, but I'm hopeful for their new update on the software coming soon. I would just like to have a calendar to see how many repair jobs are on for the day instead of just a list of jobs, having it that way makes it really hard to schedule efficiently.

through monthly reports of profits and parts installed to bill
are right there at the touch of a button, and it glitches out a Fraction
of the time that most other apps do , which is a Big plus

i dont really have an answer for this question, but if i had
to pick something , id say when it force logs out my techs
its very easy to log back in and i know its a process that keeps the software
running smooth and up to date, but my less ...savy ... techs will call and need
their password because they forgot.

They keep adding stuff that is not relevant, it is complicating and crowding what was a perfect app. If I need to text a clients I'll do it on my phone, Skimmer charges for each text. GREEDY $

The “finish” button does not require a confirmation step. Water droplets and mis-clicks often wind up finishing an account and sending an incomplete job report.

It doesn’t come with the ability to send quotes on the cheapest plan. I’m a small company and I’m planning to stay relatively small with maybe a slightly higher price. It will take me a while to get these customers so the “0-50” option doesn’t quite fit for me.

The lack of billing and invoicing support through the mobile app. Also, I really wish Skimmer would make it easier for us to do prior-to-service ormonth ahead invoicing for all of our regular service customers.

It's easy to use. You don't need internet service at the moment to use the program as it will load all your information in the system when you are able to get a good system without losing anything.

At first, they didn't have a billing system outside of quick books, which I personally don't like quick books. Also, the price went up like three times within 9 months, which was very deterring, but they affirmed the price will Stay at $1.00 per customer for a long period of time. Other than that the system is the best I've use so far.

Skimmer has multiple features that have helped streamline service, as well as customer service. Having a report sent to the consumer each week with information on their service as well as multiple pictures of the pool has helped reduce the amount of calls into the office.Skimmers customer support team is great. They almost always answer the phone right away, if not they give you a call right back. They are very friendly and helpful when you have questions on any functionality of the app. They are also up to suggestions on how to improve the app with upcoming updates.

Nachteile

There are a few things that we hope to see skimmer add. Mostly in the repairs department.The ability to unfinish jobs on the computer rather than just on the phone.The ability to have one single work-order that has multiple stops if it's not finished on the first visit.A category for Estimate Sent, or maybe Waiting For Approval. Rather than just Finished and Unfinished.

Skimmer is truly an easy tool to use when it comes to the pool service industry. Easily editable categories (Inspections, Chemicals, Etc.) make it streamlined to the customers for them to see what we have done during our weekly service on their pool. The image capture feature lets customers see what their pool looks like when are service is complete, how their filter/salt cell look after we clean it, and any issues with the equipment. Truly cannot recommend Skimmer enough.

Nachteile

Not necessarily a con, as Skimmer is on-going with it's development and coming up with ideas as time goes on, but a little more customization with the service emails sent would be ideal for marketing (changing the colors, adding your company logo at the top instead of the bottom, just minor things.)

As owner, I love how skimmer app lets you do everything pool related. even adding new customers from QuickBooks. I Love the IMPORT feature too. I Like how I can do a through scan of my Quickbooks and Skimmer to make sure they both match.

I Wish you could add more photos. sometimes I want to send pictures of leaks, or repairs that I See and would like to send more than 7. I Take photos of the overall view of the pool from the steps, photo of the steps, photo of the spa, photo of the deep end, overall view from the deep end. but If i needed to send more i cant. would be nice to have 10. LOL im just being greedy.

One of the stand-out features that I like the most about Skimmer - aside from all the amazing functions that the program offers is customer support. When I have a question or need help, I am no more than 5 minutes away from an answer, help, clarity, and always - the solution. Calling their customer support line is the most rewarding call you will ever make to tech support. Even if you don't get a tech on the line when you call, they call you right back!

There are two major things that I would say I like the least - but they are features that Skimmer doesn't have yet. 1. you can't carry a credit on the customer's account and 2. work orders are not automatically paid for customers who are on autopay.

The only thing that I can think of is the inability to make unique checklist duties for certain pools. Not all pools are the same. Some do require unique tasks to keep the pool and its system up to par.

My favorite thing about the app is how it's always improving. There's always something new being added and they listen to their customers as well which helps guide how the app ios developed.

It still has some room to grow. I don't like how you can't actually delete locations from customer profiles. I've had to figure out a way to mark them "deleted" once a property manager sells a house. But they just pile up at the bottom of the list. There are some other things that I can't think of right now, but they're really small issues.

Created and optimized my route to be most efficient. Then I can create and track all work orders, parts added, chemicals added, and populate invoices accordingly, then collect payment all in the one app.

Nachteile

I’m still learning how to better utilize the shopping list, items needed on work orders. I still need a notepad to take into the supply house when buying parts because I haven’t figured out how to effectively and efficiently sort through those features while in store. That’s probably more my own user ignorance than an app issue.

I love the organization. It keeps me organized with my schedule customer information and shopping list. I love that it’s able to produce reports.

It doesn’t have a calendar. I would love to see some sort of colander I can add stuff too. We do a lot of rental houses that require us to turn on and off the heater so I need to be able to keep a log of when and what pool to do it with.

I like the fact that you can just click on a client’s profile and their address is right on there. You get directions straight from Google maps. It’s a great convenience for me and my company.

I would say the least or what they need to work on is maybe instead of email. They were a customers would get a text from their phone of the results of their pool.

I don’t like how you have to go onto SKIMMER on a desktop computer or an Internet browser to get the full use of the broadcast emails. You cannot access a lot of the stuff from the app. I would like to see that fixed.

I can use skimmer for everything when it comes to interacting with clients. I can use it for invoicing, quoting, client communication, creating service routes, etc. It is a must have if you run a pool service business

Skimmer is very user friendly and offers a variety of features that help plan and organize work. The desktop version offers the most customization and allows me to customize routes in very specific ways. Additionally, Skimmer allows me to store all of my customers information I need to properly provide services including but not limited to specific pool equipment (w/pictures), billing and physical addresses, gate codes, and services history.

The Skimmer mobile app is very easy to use as well and links to my phones map/navigation app. So, when I have a new customer who's pool location is new to me, I can click on the account and the Skimmer app will tell my maps/nav app the address and route me to the account.

I also like the automated email feature. When I complete a service, a email is automatically generated and sent to the account I just serviced. You don't have to use this feature. But its customizable and all of my customers love it!

It also helps that Skimmer has great customer service. The support team is very nice, professional, and are great communicators. I have received help from Anesa and she has been great.

Skimmer has helped me tremendously. I highly recommend this software!

I have no complaints, so far. Admittedly, I haven’t used every single feature, but I have used most.

Fantastic interface for the technician. Routes determined for efficiency and a customizable checklist for the tech. Professional emails sent for the client. "Did they even show up this week? What am i paying for?" This never happens now that we use Skimmer.
This is also built for the pool pro and not an add on to other software.

Settup and client entry are easy. But adding chemical dosage values on setup is a pain.
There are plenty of help videos and they are very gast to respond with help so perhaps i need to just ask. But i find it hard to track additional maintenance opertunities. I wish they popped up on my dashboard so i was reminded to order parts now.
Wish LSI was built in.
But all and all they are fixing and developing constantly. Im impressed with the software.
