Useful Marketplace
Vorteile
We seamlessly utilized the platform's marketplace features to offer tasks to freelancers. Once accustomed, the interface proved user-friendly, making task allocation and communication effortless. Notably, the platform facilitated real-time task tracking and ensured transparent financial oversight. It significantly enhanced our daily management and collaboration.
Nachteile
We encountered a language barrier challenge, which we successfully navigated. Setting up the platform and explaining its usage to freelancers demanded detailed planning. Moreover, configuring the workflows was a collaborative effort involving platform executives, occasionally causing some setup delays.

Database organization
Fantastic customer service! I could easily book a one-on-one customer support session online and ask questions. I never felt like an idiot asking questions, I was always taken seriously, and everything was explained really well. I feel that the DropBox Sign (previously HelloSign) works really well and I love that I can get an email every time an Agreement is filled out.

I like that your Customer Service is so responsive and easy to meet with. I never felt like my questions are ever unanswered and I've had several brainstorming sessions via video chat that have been super helpful. I like that I can manipulate the filters to my liking.
Nachteile
I dislike how the resumes require downloading. I much prefer when they are embedded for a quick view. I now have a work around but it's very frustrating to click the back button and lose your search results. The weird glitch with the "sharing profile" option that made me lose half my database temporarily was a bit panic-inducing. I don't really use that feature (I think I thought it was something else), so it's not a dealbreaker that was just a tough day. I do like that I can change the filters but they can't be used again with the same name, which doesn't help with new versions of a database overhaul. I wish the "Skills" section could be manipulated on our end. For example, it doesn't have all the languages we need to list for our super vendors, so I have to create a tagging workaround. I also wish the "Skills" section was more user-friendly on the user side. I also wish I could make a more elaborate Workflow that could branch a little better. I also tried implementing Zapier with Worksuite and/or SmartSheet but it was too limiting for what I needed to do.

Easy to Learn, Easy to Use

Contractors tell us it's easier to use than our previous payment system. It's easy to use and payments are prompt.
Nachteile
Having to create a new payment task for each assignment for each writer, rather than adding each writer one time and allowing them to invoice for each assignment.

Great value for money
The customer service has been amazing and whatever we have asked they have done for us.

I like the onboarding capabilities the most. We need an easy way for people to apply to work with us. It is easy to see what stage everyone is at. It has saved us many hours compared to doing it on email.

Sometimes it is harder to navigate and get our team to update it. I would like to highlight what I have added to someones profile vs what they have done themselves under skillsets.

unparalleled freelancer management
Worksuite has been nothing but a positive partner for our business. Their responses are timely, their software is responsive, and there have been many quality of life updates since our initial implementation.
Vorteile
Workflows, custom fields and analytics help us keep a close eye on week to week performance of our onboarding teams. Being able to look at that data regularly in an easy to parse format is a gamechanger for our business
Nachteile
Initial setup is complicated. Making custom fields and workflows from the group up has a bit of a learning curve, as the workflows can be very powerful in what they do. Additionally, some changes made to workflows are unable to be done without assistance from the worksuite team.

Helpful automated workflow tool
Transparency, automation, consistency in process

Coming from a decentralized, non-automated process to worksuite has been VERY helpful for our team. The team needs the transparency and automation to be the most productive/efficient.

There are a few views that feel unnatural and I dont quite know how to navigate or find the same information 2x, but I know that the info is there, but I just need to search sometimes...

Slate Review of Worksuite
The overall experience has been a good one. Freelancers appear to be happy with the visibility they now have and we are happy with the onboarding and payment process.

Easy to use, light lift on my end. Just have to send them the email and the vendors get set up right away.
Nachteile
Being required to estimate how many hours someone might be working on any given assignment, and then that number being the default when they go to invoice seems to trip people up. Just putting in the hourly rate would be enough.

Worksuite is easy to use and figure out.

There are occasionally issues with requests and projects/ people not being able to see what is sent out or see attachments. Sometimes there are formatting issues that are impossible to fix.

Great platform for organization
Vorteile
The TeamBoard feature allows for easy communication between the requestor and HR/Legal Dept. The ability to chat within the platform/request eliminates additional emailing and confusion.
Nachteile
When drafting agreements, you are not able to save your work in the preview and go back to the original request to review. In addition, all workflows show in the stage view even if they do not pertain to that particular workflow. I wish this view was cleaner to avoid confusion on stages. Lastly, there are two TeamBoards, which result in missed messages.

I like that you can search the contractor database for people who have already been onboarded.

Ensuring you've hit complete and tagged the right person across many projects can be confusing for our users, which sometimes results in payments going out late.

Super customizable, perfect for our unique business needs.
Obviously the platform itself is great, but if we're being honest - a great product is nothing without a great team. We are lucky enough to have [SENSITIVE CONTENT] as our Solutions Architect and he is great at listening to what our actual needs are and then instantly and effortlessly piecing together what the strategy and execution would look like. You can literally see his brain working as you explain the different paint points that you are trying to solve for. Side note: I've had the pleasure of dealing with [SENSITIVE CONTENT] as well, he was equally brilliant and on top of things. If you ask me, the Worksuite team is definitely hoarding all of the top talent.
Vorteile
Worksuite doesn't do the "one-size-fits-all" approach. Nearly every feature is developed in such an easy-to-use, yet highly customizable way that it's kind of mind blowing. At the moment, we utilize their platform for automating a large part of onboarding for each of our independent contractors (think gig economy), and then maintaining compliance. I can see us utilizing more features as our needs increase which is another thing that makes this platform a huge plus. Moving our processes to Worksuite was a strategic move that will make scaling a piece of cake.
Nachteile
It would be nice if we were able to have a kanban/ board type of view for managing workflows.

Impressed over and over again
The Shortlist team has gone above and beyond many times. Most recently I had a few urgent questions that I needed answered and Soobin Kang personally called me outside of typical business hours and made sure I got everything I needed figured out. He continues to check in and make sure that my experience is nothing but the best. The product is amazing, but the customer service is even better. I can't say enough great things about the Shortlist team.
Vorteile
It is like a dream come true. I needed a product like this for many months and finally decided on Shortlist. Shorltist is everything I needed from a contractor management software. they keep improving and listening to their customers and I am always impressed.
Nachteile
The cons, not many cons here. The only thing I would say is its so secure that sometimes It can take a little bit to log in if you forgot your password like myself:) But I ultimately look at this as a positive as Shortlist is holding lots of sensitive information. So security is a huge plus.

A True End-to-End Workforce Management Platform
We set out to build our own solution but were fortunate enough to come across Shortlist before we made a decision. Shortlist solved our immediate need as well as gave us features we heavily utilize but had not previously considered, let alone had the budget and runway to build our own features such as Talent Pools.
There has not been much need for customer support based on our experience, but the few times we have needed to get in touch with Shortlist we've been impressed and our needs quickly met.
In short, you'd be crazy to build your own software because Shortlist has already built the features and functionality and offers their solution for a monthly subscription.
Vorteile
Simplicity to get started, consistent updates, improvements, and new features are released. Software has the look and feel of a proper enterprise application.
Nachteile
It requires some effort to maintain your database and keep things current but this is to be expected if you have a lot of activity.

Lots of capabilities, but under delivered and poor customer service
Endless issues with payments and keeping track of the status of payments (some payments marked as paid even when the contractor doesnt actually have funds).
Most of all, very unsatisfactory customer service. Often no support at all.

Payments are incredibly slow, and never on time. Takes 2-3 weeks to process and with holidays can delay payments longer. Customer services is UNREACHABLE at times, only a chat function with NO phone number to contact. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Great tool to manage your partners!
The team have been excellent and really accommodating to our requirements. Using Shortlist will allow us to better manage and engage with our Partners but it will also impact our internal teams giving them the visibility needed and helping them to deliver for our customers.

Firstly it's so simple to use. I also love the fact that unlike a lot of systems, it's so customisable which will be important to a lot of companies.

Overall i highly recommend shortlist for any contractor!
Vorteile
A user friendly website. While alot of people overlook this aspect I want to point out just how important it is for a site to be userfriendly. In a business there are several aspects of the workflow that need to work together and when you use a program that isn't designed to be used by all members of staff things can get bogged down very quickly. Another pro is definitely the template selection that is baked into the software so it can be detailed to a specific project you had in mind.
Nachteile
Maybe creating a system that allowed for certain reminders to be sent to staff that would be helpful. Overall I cannot think of any certain con's for this site.

Shortlist Review
We use Shortlist as our supplier, venue and freelancer database allowing the team to search based on country of operation, experience, industry and many other factors. Suppliers upload all relevant insurance and marketing documentation when they on-board to help the team make decisions and reduce email traffic in the planning stages. Post event the team review the suppliers helping the rest of the team make better informed decisions during the next search.
Vorteile
The software is incredibly intuitive and requires very little training. The layout is user friendly and is structured to get search results as fast as possible. Very editable on-boarding templates to suit different suppliers and freelancers.
Nachteile
Like all platforms there are pieces that need changing to suit our business, Shortlist have worked very hard to make developmental changes for us and continue to do so.

I love Shortlist! Great Features: Versatile and Easy to Use!
Vorteile
I use Shortlist.co to screen, contract and source out my freelancers in my promotional marketing agency. The app is extremely versatile and easy to use. The set-up was tailored (somewhat) for my marketing company. I am very happy with the software and when there is a concern or issue, customer service was very quick (via chat and email) to respond.
Nachteile
They do not have a mobile yet. I am being told it is coming soon in 2018. It's difficult as most of my users are on mobile and I am ecstatic for the launch of the mobile app.

Overall Worksuite has been useful, but it would be great to see a lot more streamlining of the process and the interface.
Vorteile
The payments tab is fairly easy to use, though it would be useful to see who the invoice approver is at a glance so you don't have to click into the assignment to find that info.
Nachteile
Our teams are struggling with getting freelancers through the many (sometimes redundant) steps that need to happen for a Worksuite Pay assignment to be live. The interface is not very intuitive for freelancers and managers are often spending large amounts of time walking freelancers through every step of the process, even if freelancers have been through the process in the past. For example, on freelancers' dashboards they can see all assignments where the onboarding workflow has been completed, but it's not obvious where their 'in progress' assignments are. On the manager side of things, I have to click through several different screens to get to the 'full details' of an assignment, which is one of the things I look at most frequently. In general it would be great to have fewer steps to get to the necessary information.

Using Worksuite for vendor management
As a one-stop portal for managing vendors and invoicing, it is pretty seamless.

The interactivity with my vendors is probably the best feature.
Nachteile
There seems to be some broken code resulting in line breaks not being properly formatted. Also, I want to have Events I create appear in my Shortlist, rather than having to search for them.

Project Management for Contractors
We have enjoyed using Worksuite (previously Shortlist) for several years. Easy to use, great customer service.
Vorteile
Worksuite is very easy to use from Onboarding to Invoice Payment.
Nachteile
Reporting. I would like to easily pull the information I need instead of having to filter a spreadsheet. I would like a report for the invoices paid on a certain date and have it be easily accessed for example.

Pretty good
We do our onboarding, vendor payments and contract management with Worksuite.

Nachteile
Massive upcharging for small features, pricing can be convoluted. Product works so-so, has a bunch of limitations. Very annoying to upcharge (~10k annually) for API access.

Worksuite has improved all users experience
We love it!
Vorteile
Worksuite has completely transformed the way we communicate and engage with our contractors. A very customisable system which ticks all the boxes of data storage compliance and process as well as having a user friendly interface. As with any system there is room for improvement but the support team never fail to help problem solve and build solutions.
Nachteile
Integration was complex due to multiple stakeholders and information not being in a user friendly format but that's why we needed Worksuite!Sometimes the amount of things the system can do leaves our admin users confused but Support services are great. More types of user profile with different accesses would be beneficial./

Worksuite
Logjam on contracts and payment seem to be improving.
Vorteile
Ability to organize contingent workers and see clear process stages, ask questions, share feedback, and get clarity to realize solutions around contracts and then sign those in a central place is an amazing tool to have in place.
Nachteile
No option to extend contract without having to submit an entirely new request. A click to extend that allows you to keep the same terms and forward to legal for an addendum without waiting would be great.

Working with Worsuite
My overall experience is great! Its truly helped manage my contractors and all their work.
Vorteile
Worksuite is easy to use. The features like creating projects and tasks is easy to use. I also know its being used to onboard certain people which is great. It's really easy to approve hours and generate invoices. It has the option to share files, but I don't really use that.
Nachteile
The features that are missing include formatting in the description box. I would like to be able to add links, have multi layer bullets, numbered bullets. It would be great to paste into the box with included format (right now it paste as plain text, which is annoying to fix). Also, under tasks, where we see all tasks, it would be AMAZING to filter the list by contractor.

Worksuite great for contractor management
Vorteile
Customer support is very responsive. Allows for end-to-end contractor management, from onboarding to payments to task assignment.
Nachteile
Some of the functionality takes some getting used to in terms of understanding how it works, but I wouldn't say it's much more difficult than other software platforms.

Confusing steps
It's improved some processes but is frustrating to use.
Vorteile
Worksuite seemed like it was going to be a system to make it easier to onboard freelancers and contractors. It has eased the process a little bit by inviting the worker to provide information and upload documents directly, rather than another department requesting them by email.
Nachteile
The implementation is confusing and lacks transparency. A few times I have had to reach out to customer support for clarification on something that didn't make sense. The reply was that I had to do something unintuitive (copy and paste the freelancer or contractor's email address into some random text field) to move to the next step. So it feels like we still have some workaround to fix, despite having the tool for almost a year now. I also don't like that Worksuite has an air of "greater transparency" but when it comes to actually being able to see who is supposed to take the next step in an approval process for a new worker, I cannot.

Great customer service
Vorteile
The customer service is exceptional! We receive great support from all the customer service and payment operations specialists—special shoutout to Chelsea Ellis for ALWAYS helping us promptly.

As a startup, we have certain budget limitations, so we cannot integrate Worksuite APIs with our systems. I wish it were more economical and cost-effective for us to do that!

Meets our business needs. Gives us a good database to store out contract workforce and makes hiring from that database easier. Allows us to automate payroll management, contracting, and onboarding.
Nachteile
Can be sort of clunky. Sometimes it takes a lot of clicks to do something or save information. Some bulk features that we need are not there.

Worksuite has given me the ability to focus on other aspects of my job
Distributing payments internationally was an issue before using Worksuite. It also speeds up distribution of domestic payments as well. Management of freelancers has been divvied out between several teams and the documentation is automated. The customer service has been generally great.
Vorteile
The payments system has helped so much. That combined with the ability to integrate with Salesforce has saved me hours of processing time every day. Additionally, automating the onboarding of our freelancers has been so helpful and taken the stress off of me as our company doubled over the past year and our freelancer base multiplied by at least 20. Worksuite has helped me reduce the amount of data entry I do, and allowed me to focus on other things.
Nachteile
When starting to learn the software it was very overwhelming and complicated. There is a lot to learn and understand about the software and its many intricacies and capabilities. Also, searching through the freelancers in the onboarding page is very difficult and I sometimes have to scroll through 100's of freelancers before I find the one I'm looking for.

Excellent product! Shortlist has streamlined several of our internal freelancer management...
A streamlined solution to freelancer management! We used to have a fragmented system that involved using several tools for various parts of freelancer management: onboarding, information tracking, project assignments, performance tracking, etc. We are now able to fulfill all of these duties using one single platform, which drastically cuts our admin time and creates a smoother, more consistent workflow and user experience.
Vorteile
From an internal perspective, Shortlist greatly reduced our admin time spent on freelancer management and allowed us to centralize many management duties. The platform helped us to streamline freelancer onboarding, information tracking, project assignments, performance tracking, and more. Before Shortlist, we were using several different tools to accomplish what is now done in one single platform!
The project assignment functionality was the biggest attraction for us. It's the most robust I've seen, offering several assignment workflows. Our company works on a bidding system -- freelancers essentially opt into potential projects by bidding for work -- and Shortlist seamlessly supports and has enhanced our system.
In addition, the platform is very user friendly for both administrators and freelancers. Although the platform offers a robust selection of tools to assist in freelancer and vendor management, the interface is clean, simple, and easy to navigate. The user friendly workflow greatly reduces the potential for confusion or questions, which is vital when working with a large external workforce.
Lastly, the Shortlist team is clearly committed to the success of their customers. The team has been extremely communicative, receptive to feedback, and quick to offer helpful insights or suggestions on how to maximize use of the platform.
Nachteile
There's nothing I explicitly dislike about the platform. However, I'd love to see more customization options, especially in regards to freelancer profiles and the internal performance tracking system.

The FMS of my dreams!
When I began the hunt for a FMS for our small start-up, I was working out of no less than five massive spreadsheets -- not to mention the hundreds of files floating around -- just to keep track of our freelance projects and payments.
I found Shortlist via Google search, and from my very first contact I've been impressed with the software and especially, the team. I was able to consolidate all of my scattered processes into one location, and the ability to manage all aspects of a freelancer's work cycle, from on-boarding to assignments to payment, has shaved countless hours off my work day.
I think my absolute favorite part of working with Shortlist though has been the amazing team of people devoted to helping ensure that we have the best product to work with. The sales team wasn't pushy, the tech team is always available for help or improvements, and our customer success rep has been an absolute pleasure to work with.
I can't say enough good things about Shortlist, and how vastly it's improved and streamlined our processes, and in turn, our own work flows.

*Speaking of which, the customizable on-boarding is bar none
*Payments are easy to set up and schedule
*Freelancers love it

Only one: I do a lot of bulk work, and it can get tedious as times. For example, I may have 25 of the same type of assignment going out. If I need to change the rate on them, I have to visit each one individually (can't open in new tabs), change it, and get back to the projects screen, which is now unsorted. So I have to resort to find my items and start the process again.

Vital Tool for Our Business
Overall, our experience with Shortlist has been fantastic. Our business uses the tool a little differently and they have been accommodating to our needs. They are constantly improving their product and it is great to see those updates frequently. The customer service is top notch and everyone is warm and friendly. Most of my contractors are impressed with the system. They appreciate how easy it is to do business with us now that we have Shortlist.
Vorteile
I really like that this system allows me to keep everything in one place. I used to have information all over the place (emails, Adobe cloud, paper files, Sharepoint, word/excel files, etc). My team used to wait on me for information that they now have at the click of a button. It has streamlined my process so significantly and it costs less than hiring another person to help me.
Nachteile
One improvement that I would like to see is in the search function. I think it would be great if you could search certain key words in certain places of a profile. For example, in the resume, description or internal notes. It would also be nice to see the keywords highlighted so that it is obvious where in the profile it is located. Being able to preview a document without having to download would be beneficial for my team.

Not much to note here, but I'll get into the weeds so I can provide constructive feedback: The process for adding a partner to multiple groups can take a little more time than I would like. Besides that, setting up a partner profile takes a minimal amount of my time, which I value.
