One thing that stuck out to me about Teamwork is how it combines the user experience of an enterprise-grade platform, but makes it easy enough to use for a smaller business. The interface is clean and easy-to-use while still being exceptionally robust. Time tracking and the Google Chrome feature are pretty awesome as well!

The only thing I didn't really like about Teamwork was the actual speed of the platform when you opened larger projects. With several tabs open, or a larger project opened, it would slow down significantly and it was sometimes a pain to navigate. I thought this was a computer issue on my end, but other users talked about the same problem, so I would assume it's something Teamwork should look into.

Teamwork helps keep our company in line where we can track projects, due dates, time tracking, milestones, important files and more. Our business wouldn't run without it.

It's easy to use, but can become complex if you are utilizing all of its features or customizing your projects well.

We switched from Basecamp 2 to Teamwork and have never looked back. We absolutely love it!

I love how streamlined this makes our entire process. Everyone is able to work together on one project without physically being together in one room. It can be set to alert you when something you've been waiting on has been completed, so you can be working on your other projects in your downtime.

Sometimes setting up tasks and projects can be confusing and have to be gone about in strange ways, but once they are completed, it's incredibly simple to turn them into templates so you only have to struggle the first time.

It's ease of use. We are able to quickly and effectively launch new projects and task lists based on templates and then add team and client members to their respective tasks for seamless communication, collaboration, and asset sharing.

The integrations can start to add up in cost being that you can't purchase integration ala-carte: you have to purchase different levels of subscription to have access to specific integrations. The other big downfall is that their Gantt chart is behind in terms of the competition, which is probably the reason that Gantt is not the default view for projects.

Helps me manage all aspects of my business from workflow, to billing. Seriously, it's such a valuable part of my daily workflow, that there hasn't been a day that I haven't used it when working. Also, recently I wasn't super pleased with a couple of the changes to the timer, which is very important to my billing workflow. I make suggestions to support. They listened and updated the timer! It's a complete package. I know there are other options, but honestly, I'm not sure they're as complete. Oh, and they sent me some sweet holiday swag! I wish I could post pictures of me wearing it!!

The ONLY aspect that I am not the enamored by, are some of the "improvements" they push out in the spirit of improvements. All SASS products go through a similar life cycle. For example, the UI may not have been super sexy but I liked the ease of use of the task filters. It was basic, simple. They updated it, and imho, make it's less open and the UI isn't as friendly. The flip side to that is, they do listen when you submit feedback. In some cases going as far as modifying the product based on your feedback. For example, as stated above, they updated the task timer and it wasn't functional. It was a hot mess. BUT they modified it based on my feedback and now it rocks. Thanks guys for listening.

I started using Teamwork more than 6 years ago and then it was probably the best solution in terms of price and features. Now I still have my account for Teamwork, but this is just one of the Project management tools I use for both my personal and business projects. Honestly, I think it is a matter of habbit now, I just got used to Teamwork. This service has a long history and most of my colleages know it well so we can easily collaborate. To be more precise, I like new design, customization options, price and free account (which more than enogh for personal use)

Most of my time in the office I do not use Teamwork (there's another corporate tool within our company). If compared I think Teawmork has much to improve for its mobile app. Another thing is security. I did not noticed any 2FA warnings when signing from new devices. That's an issue, because projects and tasks may contain some sensitive info. Teamwork should pay more attantion to is these days.

Teamwork Projects has it all. As a business owner, I often want a high-level, low fidelity overview of all the projects my team is working on. Other times, I need a detailed, granular view of a specific project so I can see exactly what tasks are upcoming to keep clients up to date. Teamwork can do both. It gives you the tools to visualise the overall health of your projects, while also allowing you to get into the nitty-gritty of what's being worked on at any given time. It's allowed us to merge our project management processes into a single tool, while gaining even more functionality.

Because it can do so much, it can be tough to get started and get things set up exactly the way you like. It seems like there are endless options for organising tasks, and to a degree you have to pick a method and run with it. That can make getting started and adjusted to the software difficult, and really require you to commit to learning it and using it for an extended period of time (until you settle in)

I like how easy Teamwork is to use. Anything you can't figure out how to do typically be found in a how to article or video and if you can't find help that way, then customer support is always very quick to respond to questions or even suggestions for improvement. This software is able to help us fully manage our projects, from employees tracking their time and assigning tasks to individuals, to creating invoices for projects and managing project templates, it streamlines it all.

There are some features that I wish the basic package offered, as it doesn't make much sense to spend extra for just one or two additional helpful features, when we wouldn't need the rest of the features offered in a more costly package.

The level of detail is great for precise work, which for me is SEO editing. I can look through past versions, read client notes and dig through to find guidelines for any project. It's also nice to have time tracking, sub tasks and assignments all in one place.

There are so many options that it's easy to get lost, especially at first. It took me awhile figure out where to find certain things or perform a function, and even now I don't know most of it. The fact that they have a button that says "Everything" tells me people often get overwhelmed with the UI. It could be streamlined and perhaps certain functions highlighted more.

I was surprised at how much you get for the price with Teamwork out of the box. It has built in time tracking, an extensive notifications system that let's you choose how often you want to receive updates and what you want to receive them about, and a great thing is bulk edit of tasks.

The invoicing system is too basic. You can create an invoice and add expenses, however, there are not a lot of options here. Also, the API doesn't allow for you to go in and do too much which is something that would really appeal to our team of developers.

Adding users to specific projects at a mass project level is not easy. I would like to be able to both add users and filter items (milestones, task lists, activity, Everything items) by Category of the Project. I would like to report on Category of project. I would also like more ways of exporting the milestones in an easier to read report. We want to use milestones as a way to get our entire company in-the-know of upcoming items. But we have so many overlapping milestones the calendar view doesn't work, and the exported excel list isn't appealing for a quick read.

It integrates tasks and milestones with comments and files, time logging and tracking for multiple employees with notation, and communication that can sync directly to the client or be marked for team-only privacy. So every project is broken into action items that are assigned to team members AND to clients (e.g. feedback), clients can see where we are with each task and subtask, I can log time/set work timers directly on each item, and I can send drafts to clients by attaching them to subtasks and get their feedback via comments that are filed right there where I need them.

The icons could be more intuitive. But that's genuinely the only thing I would change.

Able to add members who need to be kept in the loop. Not everyone on the project has to be selected to receive the correspondence. That way, you can direct messaging to the appropriate team members. We can all stay on the same page with relevant information. You don't have to log in to team work to see the posts you have been copied on. The messages come straight to your email.

Nachteile

It's sometimes difficult to follow a string of messaging. The newest information seems to float to the bottom of the string instead of the top but that doesn't always appear to be consistent, so we have team members that miss communication because they didn't scroll all the way down the page for new information. Also, sometimes the "folders" have information buried in them that not all team members remember to access. If the team members don't reply to messaging in the same string (under the common topic) it can be difficult to look up prior messages. Especially if you're looking for something specific.

Teamwork Projects is a multi-faceted project tracking/management app. We are able to communicate and track project progress staff-wide fairly well. Enjoy the in-app chat.

It seems overly complicated as there are too many ways to do the same things (is it a task? a project? a notebook? a milestone?), which means people on staff manage projects and view them differently, too many view options, too many custom/sort options. Menus change with each function you are working in, but it is not intuitive ("where the heck do I find the option to modify a template?". Searching for help provides results that do not match what we see on our end (there is no TEMPLATES tab within PROJECTS). I am an Admin and I still have trouble navigating.

As we expanded from tiny to small sized marketing team, we were experiencing an email deluge and suffering lost productivity as a result. This put us back on path to success. Hubspot integration a big bonus for us aswell - shopping around I could not find anything similar unless you're prepared to use Zapier as middleware, which I was not. Also important to note this integration is supported by teamwork itself no a community organization/company.

As with any software there is a learning curve. Even after doing tutorials you will have a learning curve. I guess for user experience to be a real home run, more pop ups and intuitive suggestions for what I may want to do on a page would be nice. It would be great if I knew how important it would be to set my orgs own best practices on comments for tasks, tags for tasks, linking, using office document software in tandem etc. Where is the sharepoint integration.

Teamwork Projects has some great features to help keep your business ecosystem all in one place. Being able to track time in multiple ways (browser or desktop timer) and manage comment threads, files attachments and notebooks on individual projects is very useful. The UI is also quite neat to use compared to other tools.

Nachteile

Despite the useful timer integrations and options available to keep all project info in one place, reporting and visibility still becomes a bit unmanageable with the in-built options. Our team resorted to syncing data to external data management tools to assist with planning and resourcing, rather than using the in-built tools.
Kanban view in Teamwork also needs a bit of work to make it more useful within the current system.

One of my favorite features is the ability to assign staff members to specific tasks within a larger project. The reminders and the way your to do items show up on your personal lists is excellent! We also use teamwork for approval processes in the form of kanban boards. This is very helpful. Finally, we use this for new team member onboarding and it's a great way to have our onboarding program documented and interactive.

I just wish there was a mobile app. I'm often working on so many projects at once, that I randomly think of another thing I want to do at very random times of the day. My computer is often too far away for me to get it down in Teamwork but if this were an app on my phone, I could make much better use of it.

There are a couple of great things about this software. The first are the free collaborator & client accounts. Having these allows us to work with companies with many employees, without having to change them more for more users. This feature allows us to collaborate a lot quicker than on email with our clients and achieve greater results. The other is the time tracking. With the ability to estimate and track time, we can easily plan our weeks ahead & see what projects we can fit in and when.

Nachteile

There are still a few features that aren't working as well as they should do. The workload piece is quite buggy, and has caused us several issues overloading work in a particular week when there isn't enough time. Having mentioned this, we were told not enough people have brought this to their attention so they won't be fixing this...it also takes a long time sometimes to hear back.

You get a lot of pack for free when you try out Teamwork. I use Teamwork with various clients and have found it very easy to manage the different tiers of work I need to do. It has a dashboard that gives you an overview of tasks. You can see who is invited to work on a project, allocate tasks and milestones, set due dates all the things you would expect. One of my favorite things is being able to go easily back and see what documents were uploaded, including files attached in messaging.

I find following the email threads a bit taxing. What I like about the setup is that you can update a task in Teamwork Project and send a communication out that will land in your Inbox. You reply and that will update in the actual thread within Teamwork. But once a thread starts to get long, I've found it a bit of a pain to go back and find a specific response and I've gotten better at tracking these threads in my email Inbox and flagging them.

I am a technical writer working with a web development company. Before we started using Teamwork Projects (Projects) we were struggling to keep up and keep everyone on the same page. Projects has become a central place we can all use to keep things going.

One feature I use are the Notebooks. You can create them, assign different users, privacy levels, and categories. I actually write the copy for our projects directly into the Notebooks. If your internet connection is cutting out, it warns you to stop before continuing to work. When you save a Notebook, you can choose to send various people email messages, mark it as a new version, etc. There are lots of features, and that is just for the Notebooks!

You can also create task lists, estimate the amount of time members of your team will spend on things, track time on projects, and send email messages through Outlook. We have even gotten clients to use the system by sending them invitations so they can send and receive messages as projects progress. When clients can use it and participate, it says a lot. No more having to search our inboxes for email messages and cutting and pasting information. Before this, version control on copy was a nightmare.

Nachteile

The interface cannot be customized in such a way that it looks neat. There are filters that can be applied so that things will be listed in a certain way, but I haven't figured out how to have all my current projects listed right up front when I log in.

Project tracking, collaborating, time tracking, task boards, etc all great. All the project management stuff Teamwork is fantastic for. Integrates with quite a lot of popular systems too. From a PM point of view we could not live without Teamwork.

What Teamwork is lacking is the full end to end journey. You can't create quotes in it, then turn that to a project and then invoice it. Workload scheduling has come on since it launched, but still not as good as Float, but we sync to float to manage that.

This software is one of the best project management and Client relations software available on the market. It is user-friendly and so simple to learn plus the integrations are insane. You can connect time trackers or use the one built in time tracker. You can grant access to your Clients and literally customize each aspect of the project and how much access they have PLUS it stores all of their information acting as a CRM as well. Not only are you able to track projects, but tasks and you can upload files and store them in the system. You can create notebooks to store information and there is also a dedicated space for messages along with a messaging app. The software is insane and perfect for the ultimate project management team.

Really there isn't anything to dislike and if you are a new startup or Entrepreneur they will give you a year free of their upgraded service.

-Teamwork is a very intuitive program to use and doesn't take much training.
-The calendar feature allows me to track numerous projects and my daily task list/milestones due that day/week/month.
-It has a robust task tracking feature that can also integrate to other time tracking tools like Harvest.
-It keeps record of everything (messages/conversations/files), which is great if an employee leaves the organization or if you're trying to find the history of a project.
-Templates make opening new jobs that are similar to previous jobs a breeze.

My only gripe is that you can link tasks to milestones to show progress of milestone completion, but when you move a milestone the task list due dates don't move with automatically. You have to hand tick a box. If you forget to, you have to hand move each task. I think the reverse would be better: default to moving the tasks, and tick the box if you do NOT want to move tasks along.

Can't say enough good things about this program. I have used it for the past 5 years and by far it's my go to program for any marketing agency. I love how easy it makes task management, keeping project momentum going, keeping all files associated with projects all in one place and the ability to manage dependencies. I even love that it offers billing and time tracking, which is great for marketing agency work.

There are few features about this software I don't like. I only wish there was a better way for TW Projects to automatically copy emails into the software as they pertain to certain projects.

The application has a built-in timelogging that has made client billing so much easier. It is like Jira combined with time logging and invoicing.

The app has a steep learning curve much like JIRA, but once you have the proper workflow going on. It is actually quite intuitive to use. We let our clients register an account with us to file tickets, however all the comments are visible to them, so we have to re-create the ticket in an internal project to allow our devs to look into and work on it without the client seeing all the work that is happening in the backend. It would be great if every single external project has an internal tab to allow duplicating or even linking the task to the internal project.

It is a system that allows you to capture the time invested in each project, this helps to verify if progress is being generated or not in each activity that must be performed by the team, it has a very nice and intuitive interface in which you have the ability to perform multiple tasks, such as adding the projects under development and adding pending tasks, verifying the progress and the amount of time dedicated to each task related to the project, in addition this system has become essential in our day to day due to its effectiveness and great contributions to the task management and as the name says to teamwork

The initial packages are somewhat limited regarding the number of projects that can be attended simultaneously, which means that periodically you have to obtain a better system package, I think there are some points that could be improved a little but in a general way I am very happy with the way this system works and helps us improve every day

The file storage that comes with the subscription is woefully small in this day and age.
We once tried using the Google Drive integration, but this was not an ideal solution. I would much rather be able to integrate external drives at a project level as opposed to the overall platform subscription level.

It's really easy to manage a project in Teamwork and involve all relevant people to work and comment at different stages of the project. I think the interface is very intuitive and easy to understand. I also really like it visually. You can organize work in different projects and assign tasks to the relevant people.
You can also create templates for tasks of a certain type that you often do.
In case you need a reminder to check something on a regular basis, you can create a repetitive task - for ex. each week. This makes it really easy to organize things.
You can add different board columns to tasks - ex. research, implementation, testing, etc according to business needs, or you can add labels to tasks.

Nachteile

It may get a little bit chaotic if there are a lot of people involved in the task and working at the same time.

You can add subtasks, log time or activate the time tracker to check the time you spend on a certain task. Right from that time-tracking window, you can add details about the task.

You can understand the essence of each feature by hovering over the icon and get what it is for.

One great thing about Teamwork is its multiple features, ability to add milestones, upload files, make notes, see billable and non-billable tasks, see the team members' tasks, time spent on it. You can add multiple people to the tasks and you all can log time under it.

The more I use teamwork, the more features I discover.

At the beginning, there is too much information and for a new user and it is difficult to perceive all the features it has.

Also, the Teamwork Timer could be improved. Sometimes it takes me too much time to add the tasks. Whenever I open the app, it doesn't display all the tasks I have so I need to add it and then start the timer.

1. It still needs improvement specially on project descriptions part where standard users see quickly or preview the project description in full details or urls/links that can be clickable.

2. Another thing is the downtime or error on loading the pages, our team always encounter lagging or downtime errors specially when they are updating something on the platform and it feels unstable sometimes, hopefully they can check the least hours or days users are using the platform depending on the timezone.

3. Some app integrations are not working properly like slack, it doesn't sync the way it was explained.
