Tipalti integrates with Sage Intacct, cutting down duplicate input & creating efficiency. The user interface and the filtering options provide easy access to information I need. Customer support is available to assist on a multitude of problems.

As an appliance distributor, we have a lot of returns - damaged goods from vendors, recalls, and customers' changed minds. At the moment, credit memo application does not work well. I have many vendors that are paid via auto-withdrawals and credit memos are not supported.

Payment processing has been time consuming - we're figuring out what works best for our needs. I have had to resort to checks or manual ACHs through our bank often to facilitate/expedite payments.

Nachteile

The payment situation in some foreign currencies is sometimes difficult and varies in the charges and payment times, although we understand that this is something that is currently being worked on.

- Laggy - flicking between procurement and bills is too slow - not a robust platform
- No notification to purchase order requisitioner/approvers that invoice has been received and can be receipted
- No OCR technology to read if no PO number on invoice and send back notification to supplier if PO number is missing
- SLA on payments of invoices it too long - payments need to be released quicker
- Doesn't integrate with Sage as well as expected
- Doesn't update bank details of suppliers on Sage
- No remittance to suppliers
- Updated version of bills never loads invoice image
- No audit trail of approvals on payment run, have to open procurement (time consuming as above) to ensure correct approval workflow

Tipalti has in instrumental in so many aspects of our accounting improvements. We have implemented bill approvals with keeps us compliant as well as everyone accountable for their budget. We have been able to streamline and shorten our monthly closing process thanks to Tipalti. Lastly, Tipalti cards has allowed us to enable employees the ease of a company card with fast tracking and reconciliation.

Nachteile

I would love for a few tweaks on the platform interface but aside from that, no major cons.

Tipalti doesn’t seem to have been created with accountants in mind. Much of the report is lacking and much of UI leaves much to be desired.

The invoice upload and scan is really fast. My invoices are ready for processing not too long after I drop them for scan.

1. Every time I change a payee name, the system requires the payee to submit their passport/company registration to make changes to billing info. We get a lot of complaints from payees because they are uncomfortable sharing those documents and do not understand the need for it.
2. The session times out too fast if I'm inactive and takes me back to the log in screen.

The platform is user friendly and easy to integrate to the accounting system. This platform streamlined the P2P process at my Company, resulting in faster close and better reporting. The payment feature is awesome and allows for multicurrency payment.

From persistent login issues, to its poor UI, the experience of using Tipalti has been incredibly frustrating and I resent having been forced to use it by some of the companies who pay me. I think any alternative in this space is superior.

With Tipalti, it's simple to view the status of payments and invoices right away. Time and money are saved by having a single payment run for both domestic and international payments. Having a 100% paperless payables procedure is wonderful. The software handles processing invoices and paying vendors with relative ease when used independently.

Nachteile

One of my issues is that it is impossible to alert the authorizer that an approval claim has been made but been refused. If invoices could be included in a pending payment order, customers could readily track the status. The cost is not cheap. The implementation process takes some time. But once you board, the journey is incredible.

The flexiblity of the CSV based payment file. We can easily format our royalty payments coming out of our royalty software to meet the payment file. A quarterly royalty process used to take weeks, now with Tipalti and Curve Royalties it is a matter of hours with much higher customer satisfaction.

Nachteile

Having a payee list in the payee area would be an improvement instead of needing to export a CSV. Similarly, it would be great to be able to select a payee and click some sort of 'issue single payment' button for those instances where you need to issue a quick payment. These are more feature enhancements that would make the software close to perfect.

Helps keep me aware of pending approvals and has all of the relevant data points displayed so that I don't have to go back to our CRM to confirm.

Nachteile

Nothing really comes to mind as the system has always been reliable i.e. have never experienced downtime or had any connectivity issues.

Our researchers love the lower fees compared to just PayPal payments and the variety of money transfer choices. It's dependable and our researchers get paid in a dependable manner. The ability to capture payment details and tax forms without the headache of PCI compliance has been a big help for us.

Sometimes it would be nice if more of the configuration options were available in the actual application. There are some choices and options that are not easily known unless you go back and forth with support.

The product is very easy to use, and the integration was very easy (including great help from the team!).
It features a centralized and searchable vendor portal for all vendor data in an easy-to-use interface, and completes it with an automated vendor on-boarding process - which makes life super easy.
The product also allows me to easily set up standardized PR and PO processes to streamline the end-to-end procurement cycle, which is a huge help.

Nachteile

The feature I lacked most was automated file uploading. Currently, you have to manually upload files into the system each time.
However, I've discussed with the team and they are working on it so very hopeful!

I like it because it allows me to easily use the functions, which by the way are extraordinary and this saves me a lot of time. There are other programs that although they are a little more economical, they are a lot of work when you start using them. Therefore, the best thing is undoubtedly the ease with which you can start using it in the company.

The weakest point is the support, but it is something that can be solved. On more than one occasion I had problems communicating with the support team and they were not pleasant experiences.
